Hi all
For those of you yet to book your travel in to/from/in France, please see the information below on how to book your Eurostar and TGV tickets all at once for only £69 each:
The Times and Sunday Times currently have a promotion on whereby you collect passwords from the paper to be eligible.
As I work for them, the passwords were fairly easy to collect! I think there are more than you need below:
Sat 5th CHATEAUX
Sun 6th VIN
Mon 7th CREPE
Tues 8th PETANQUE
Wed 9th BAGUETTE
Thurs 10th LAVENDER
Fri 11th FROMAGE
Sat 12th BOULES
Sun 13th CHAMPAGNE
Mon 14th FETE
Tues 15th PLAGE
Wed 16th GALETTE
You need to go to www.timesonline.co.uk/travel and click on the Eurostar promotion link or call 08701 601 070 (costs £3 extra). I think it might be easier to book on the phone due to the complexity of booking your TGV ticket for the day after you arrive in Paris etc. (They didnt even ask me for the passwords I just said I wanted to book tickets using the Times promotion).
The only rule that is a problem is that your TGV ticket must be for within 24 hours of your arrival in Paris. You could stay within the rules by going London to Paris 18 June, Paris to Lyon 19 June, Lyon to Paris 22 June and Paris to London 23 June and still see all Kiwi games and the Brazil game in Lyon.
Or you could just not worry too much about you TGV ticket date. For example we have booked to go to Paris on the 23rd and then TGV to Lyon on the 24th but we are not going to go to Lyon until the 25th - just going to hope they accept our ticket
Anyway, hope that's of some use!
